Form of Worship

Our Form of Worship

At the Independent Faith Church, we revere divinity as a presence within all beings and throughout existence. Each person is seen as a unique expression of universal energy, connecting us to one another and to everything around us.

Worship with Presence and Reverence

Our approach to worship is grounded in reverence, acceptance, and mindful presence. By being fully present, we tap into our creative potential and cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves, others, and the world.

Congregations meet weekly—or as schedules allow—with local Ministers guiding the format, duration, and message of each gathering. Meetings typically include discussion or reflection on one or more of the Church’s founding principles, fostering personal growth and communal connection.

Fluid, Individualized Practice

Both IFC and Barbequianism embrace a flexible approach to worship, prayer, and personal development. We recognize that truth is personal and evolving, unique to each individual.

While there are no fixed rituals, members are encouraged to bring practices, prayers, or ceremonies that support their spiritual journey. This keeps our gatherings dynamic, diverse, and deeply personal, while remaining grounded in our foundational principles of peace, happiness, and love.
